Brother Of The Bride Speech Examples

Posted by [email protected] on November 19, 2016 at 10:25 AM Comments comments (0)
What better way is there to spend your wedding day than to share it with the people you love and care about - family, relatives, and friends alike. During a wedding, the people that the newly wed couple loves the most are gathered together to celebrate the same occasion. This is when speeches are delivered and toasts are made for their everlasting love. On that note, here are brother of the bride speech examples.

For the first part of your speech, you may deliver the following lines: "Ladies and gentlemen - I wish you all a wonderful evening! For those of you who have only just seen this handsome face today, please allow me to introduce myself to you. I am the bride's brother, and I stand here today to welcome you all in this celebration. Also, I would like to thank each and every one of you on behalf of the bride and the groom for sharing your time with us."

As you will notice, the first part of your speech should include a sincere greeting, a warm welcome, and a brief introduction about yourself and how you are related to either the bride or the groom. As for the thank you's, proceed with "Thank you to all of you who have always supported and encouraged this lovely couple here. Thank you to all of you who generously assisted them with the wedding Equity Mortgage preparations. Thank you to all of you who are gathered here today to help us celebrate this joyous occasion."

"And now to the bride and the groom, this I say to you - congratulations! I am truly happy for you both, seeing those smiles and those looks of extreme joy on your faces. I know that this day that marks the start of a new chapter in your lives can be a bit scary and anxiety-provoking. But this I know - you can make it. I have seen how much you really love each other and I believe that you will be able to surpass any trial that comes your way."

Clinical Study on Ephedra-Free Super CitriMax Published in Nutrition Research; New Health Benefits -- Beyond Weight Loss -- Also Discovered.

BENICIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2004

Results of the Super CitriMax(R) human clinical study conducted by researchers at Georgetown University Medical Center (Washington, D.C.) and Andhra University (Visakhapatnam, India) have been published in the peer-reviewed journal, Nutrition Research (24(1): 45-58, 2004). Super CitriMax(R), a unique patent-pending form of (-)hydroxycitric acid (HCA), is a proprietary, ephedra-free weight loss ingredient developed by InterHealth Nutraceuticals.

HCA has been sold as a safe, all-natural diet ingredient for years with mixed results. The new study explored the use of higher doses and a more bioavailable form of HCA bound to the minerals calcium and potassium called Super CitriMax(R). Patients in the study not only experienced significant weight loss, but increased fat burning, lowered cholesterol, increased beneficial HDL cholesterol and decreased Body Mass Index (BMI), an indicator of obesity health risk. The eight-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trial also revealed surprising new results: Super CitriMax significantly increased serum serotonin levels (a mechanism of appetite control and eating behavior) and lowered serum leptin levels, a biomarker of the gene that regulates obesity.

The pilot study, which was the initial phase of a larger 90 patient study (Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism in press), consisted of 30 human volunteers divided into three groups. Group A received Super CitriMax (2,800 mg HCA per day). Group B received a combination of Super CitriMax (2,800 mg HCA per day) plus niacin-bound chromium as ChromeMate(R) (400 mcg chromium per day) and Gymnema sylvestre extract (400 mg providing 100 mg gymnemic acids per day). Group C received a placebo. The supplements were administered daily in three divided doses 30-60 minutes before meals. All three groups were placed on a diet of 2,000 calories per day and participated in a 30-minute supervised walking program, five days a week.

After an eight-week period, those taking Super CitriMax alone experienced a decrease in body weight of over 12 pounds, or 6.2 percent, and a 6.3 percent reduction in BMI. Those taking Super CitriMax plus ChromeMate and Gymnema sylvestre experienced even greater losses, including a 15 pound (7.8 percent) reduction in body weight and a 7.9 percent reduction in BMI. In contrast, the Placebo Group experienced reductions of only 3 pounds or 1.6 percent in body weight and a 1.7 percent reduction in BMI.

Super CitriMax also demonstrated significant oxidation or "burning" of fat. Urinary excretion of fat metabolites, including malondialdehyde (MDA), formaldehyde (FA), acetaldehyde (ACT) and acetone (ACON), increased 25 - 158 percent. The combination of Super CitriMax plus ChromeMate and Gymnema sylvestre resulted in even greater excretion of fat metabolites, in the 46 - 181 percent range, while subjects taking the placebo did not experience significant changes in urinary excretion of MDA, ACT, FA and ACON.

Total cholesterol, LDL (harmful) cholesterol and triglycerides decreased 6.3, 12.3 and 8.6 percent, respectively, in the Super CitriMax Group, and 9.1, 17.9 and 17.3 percent, respectively, in the Combination Group. Those in the Placebo Group experienced reductions of only 0.8, 0.8 and 0.0 percent, respectively. At the same time, HDL (beneficial) cholesterol increased 10.7 percent and 20.7 percent in the Super CitriMax and Combination Groups, respectively, but actually decreased slightly (3.3 percent) in the Placebo Group.

Serum serotonin levels, a mechanism of appetite control, increased by 40 percent and 50 percent in the Super CitriMax and Combination Groups, respectively, but only 21 percent in the Placebo Group. Serum leptin levels, a biomarker of the obesity regulatory gene, decreased by 36.6 percent for the Super CitriMax Group, 40.5 percent for the Combination Group, and actually increased by 0.3 percent in the Placebo Group.

Appetite was also significantly reduced. At the end of eight weeks, subjects taking Super CitriMax alone reduced their food intake by four percent, while subjects in the Combination Group had reduced food intake by 14.1 percent. Those in the Placebo Group actually increased food intake by 2.8 percent over the course of the eight-week study.

In all instances, optimal doses of Super CitriMax alone proved quite effective, but the Super CitriMax-ChromeMate-Gymnema formula (patent-pending) resulted in even greater improvements in all areas than Super CitriMax alone.

According to the principal investigator, Dr. Harry Preuss of Georgetown University Medical Center, "While we have believed for some time that HCA held significant promise in the treatment of obesity, this study, utilizing effective doses of bioavailable hydroxycitric acid, marks the first time that such a comprehensive, well-monitored clinical study has definitively confirmed its effectiveness in human subjects.

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

Furthermore, its long-term safety opens the door to the possibility that the hydroxycitric acid available in Super CitriMax may be a valuable tool for long-term weight maintenance, one of the biggest challenges in the fight against obesity."

The dosages used in the study were based on recent animal trials, which revealed the optimal concentrations of HCA required to increase serotonin levels. According to the study researchers, the optimal amount for human consumption is 2,700-2,800 milligrams of HCA per day taken in three divided doses (900 mgs HCA per serving) 30-60 minutes before meals. However, the researchers caution that dosage alone may not produce the desired results. According to Dr. Preuss, "HCA must be taken in a bioavailable form, such as that available in the product used in this study." Super CitriMax is 100 percent soluble compared to generic HCA products, which are typically less than 50 percent soluble. Prior studies at the University of California, Berkeley, have shown that Super CitriMax is bioavailable in humans.

To help consumers identify products that contain optimal levels of bioavailable HCA, InterHealth has introduced a new tradename and logo called Super CitriMax(R) Full Strength, which will appear on the label of finished products that contain optimal dosages of Super CitriMax.

HCA is extracted from a South Asian fruit called Garcinia cambogia. Widely consumed for centuries by people throughout India and Southeast Asia as a flavoring agent and an aid to make meals more "filling," it is listed on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's list of perennial edible fruits. Super CitriMax works without stimulating the central nervous system, so it does not cause changes in heart rate and blood pressure or interfere with sleep, as do many popular diet aids. Recently, Super CitriMax was affirmed as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the Burdock Group, the nation's leading toxicology specialists in evaluating the safety of food and beverage ingredients.

InterHealth researches, develops, markets and distributes specialty nutritional ingredients, which are sold worldwide to manufacturers of dietary supplements and nutraceutical food and beverage products. In addition to Super CitriMax, ChromeMate and Gymnema sylvestre extract, InterHealth is the maker of Aller-7(TM), OptiBerry(TM), UC-II(TM), L-OptiZinc(R) and Protykin(R). For more information about the company and its products, or a full copy of the study, call 800-783-4636 or 707-751-2800 (outside U.S.) or visit the website at www.InterHealthUSA.com.

Suboxone?? | Yahoo Answers

Posted by [email protected] on September 22, 2016 at 10:12 PM Comments comments (0)
It sounds like you are doing the right thing. When your doctor is ready to start weaning you off of the Suboxone, see if he/she minds you doing a very gradual taper off the medicine. If you taper slow enough you can avoid withdrawal altogether. If you like tinkering with charts and stuff, you can use this taper charting tool to plot out a tapering schedule, and even show your doctor and see if your doc is okay with it.

My readers say that tapering down to 1 or 2 mg daily isn't too hard but getting below 1mg sucks. So they take the part from 1mg to zero REALLY slow. Suboxone is strong stuff, a micro-dose is enough to kill withdrawal it just takes an hour or so.

If someone were steady state at 16mg and was to start tapering down, my readers Substance Abuse would probably say ask their doctor for permission Detox to do taper like below (it will minimize withdrawal to almost nothing) otherwise your doc will probably take you cold-turkey from 1mg and it will suck after day 3. Most docs laugh about that and say 1mg isn't enough to feel withdrawal but 99% of my readers say 1mg is way too Alcohol high to stop cold-turkey. Most doctors won't mind letting you taper slower, it is probably safer anyway.

So say you were taking 16 mg for a few months and doc says time to taper down, my readers favorite taper for 16 mg takes at least one week per milligram on average...

Normal Dose was around 16mg then....

Taper Week 1 = 14mg daily (1 3/4 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 2 = 12mg daily (1 1/2 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 3 & 4 = 8mg daily

Taper Week 5 & 6 = 6mg daily (3/4 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 7 & 8 = 4mg daily ( 1/2 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 9 & 10 = 2mg daily (1/4 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 11 & 12 = 1mg daily (1/8 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 13 &-14 = .5mg daily (1/16 of 8mg film)

Taper Week 15 & 16 = .25mg daily (1/32nd of 8mg film use razor or scissors)

Taper Week 17 & 18 = .25mg daily every other day

Taper Week 19 & 20 = .25mg daily every third day

*some people still get withdrawal from .25 and they slice .125mg (1/64th of a 8mg Film, super hard to cut that small) but cold turkey from .25mg is usually low enough to avoid bad withdrawals.

** always give a dose at least 2 hours after taking before deciding if it worked or not especially very low doses.

ORGANIC PEST CONTROL - Recipes and Remedies

Posted by [email protected] on February 5, 2016 at 11:01 AM Comments comments (0)
The verybest form of natural pest control is to grow healthy plants so that they are ableto look after themselves. As a startingpoint, give your plants the right amount of food, soil, moisture and sunshine.

You canadopt an organic approach to pest control by making regular patrols on theplants in order to identify such pests as caterpillars, aphids, mites, redspiders and the like. Check yourvegetables well, particularly looking under lettuce and cabbage leaves, and onbeans, peas and carrots.

Beneficial(predator) insects such as Ladybirds (ladybugs), wasps, lacewings anddragonflies should be encouraged. Allpests are food for their predators and by killing them all off you are cuttingdown the chances that predators will build up enough to do the job of pestcontrol for you. Therefore, usesparingly.

Organic, natural pest control can be done easily and cleverly, and can be very efficientand effective.

Thefollowing are just a few excellent recipes for organic gardeners.

BORDEAUX MIXTURE -Brown rot, curly leaf, black spot, mildew

Bordeaux isa standard organic fungicide. It can beused when plants are dormant, generally during the winter months. It can be used on all citrus or cool days, when there are no blossoms on the trees.Bordeaux is effective for brown rot, curly leaf, black spot and otherbacterial, fungal and mildew problems.Spray grapevines when the shoots are less than 100cm long, for blackspot and powdery mildew.

Always makeBordeaux mixture fresh as it doesnt keep and will begin to separate after anhour or so, therefore it must be used soon after preparation.

Bordeaux Recipe

Mix 90 gramsof blue copper sulphate with 4.5 litres (1 gallon) of cold water, in anon-metallic container.

In anothernon-metallic container, mix 125 grams of slaked lime (not agricultural lime) in4.5 litres (1 gallon) of cold water. Mixthe two together and stir well.

Test themixture using an old nail. Dip the nailinto the mixture for around 30 seconds. If the nail comes out blue, you need Pest Control to add more lime, or at least, morestirring and mixing in order to dissolve the lime. Do NOT use the mixture until the problem iscorrected, otherwise you may burn your plants.

The mixturecan be used with any spray equipment.Keep some fresh, clean water on hand to wash out nozzles to keep themclear of clogging.

Spray inearly winter or only spray every second row, finishing off the rest ten dayslater.

Take carenot to use too much Bordeaux as it will cut down the numbers of naturalpredators around during Spring time.

BUG SPRAY -Fruit-sucking Beetles

Collect asmany of your pest insects, bugs and beetles and put them in a container. Add water, then place in a blender. Blend well, then transfer to a spraybottle.

Spraymixture on all the plants that you do not want those particular bugs, insectsand beetles to inhabit. The smell of thedead bugs acts as a deterrent.

CHAMOMILE TEA SPRAY -Black spot, scab, mildew, brown rot, rust

Chamomiletea can be used as a very mild fungicide.Use it for early mildews and fungal problems, and for brown rot onfruit.

To make, cover a handful of flowers in boiling water, or use a Chamomile teabag, according to the directions on the pack.Allow to cool then transfer to a clean sprayer bottle.

CHIVE SPRAY -Rust, brown rot

Grab ahandful of fresh chives and place in a container. Cover with water and allow to steep. When cooled, strain off water, then place ina sprayer bottle. Spray on all plantsaffected by rust.

COMFREY SPRAY - Rust, brown rot, black spot

Take ahandful of Comfrey and cover with fresh water for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Strain and place in a spray bottle.

DEHYDRATED FLOUR -Cherry slug, pear slug

Dust smallcherry and pear trees with dehydrated flour, as this will act as a stomachpoison to pear and cherry slugs.

EGGSHELLS -White butterflies

As a decoyfor White butterflies (or cabbage moths), place eggshells under and aroundcabbages and all brassicas.

Broken eggshellscan also be used as a deterrent for snails and slugs. Place the crushed eggshells around any plantsyou wish to keep snails and slugs away from. The slugs/snails find it difficult to cross the broken eggshells.

GLUE SPRAY -Aphids, white fly, harlequin bugs, mites, whooly aphids

Mix 1 cup ofwhite flour with 1 cup of boiling water- then mix in cold water. Stir until it is of a thick consistency. Strain out any lumps through a sieve.

Place into aspray bottle for use on small plants, and a larger, pump-action sprayer forhigh plants and trees. Spray the top ofleaves as well as underneath, ensuring that the entire surface is covered.

Either waitfor the glue to peel off, or wash off in rain naturally, or hose the plant downafter 24 hours. (Ensure that you cleanout the sprayer nozzle and bottle, otherwise the glue will set and that will bethe end of it)

MILK SPRAY -Black spot, mildew, brown rot, mites, apple and pear scab, mould, fungi

Mild spraymakes an effective remedy for stopping the spread of downy mildew, mould, fungiand bacterial problems.

Spray fullcream mild onto affected areas of the plant.

In hotweather dilute 1 cup of full cream milk to 9 cups of water. This is to ensure that young foliage andflower buds dont burn.

MILK and BICARBONATE OF SODA -Brown rot, mildew, scab, black spot

Make upMilk Spray as above, adding 1 teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda - andtransfer to a spray bottle.

NETTLE SPRAY -Brown rot

Take ahandful of Nettle and cover with fresh water for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Strain and bottle.

OIL SPRAY -Aphids

Oil sprayswork by covering the insects and/or their eggs with a light film of oil, suffocating them.

Take 1kilogram of soap for every 8 litres of oil.Boil and stir vigorously until totally dissolved. Dilute this with 20 times the volume ofwater.

This spraywill separate quickly, so it Pest is unable to be stored. Therefore, use immediately.

Use oilsprays only when the temperature is below 24C, otherwise the oil may cause leafdamage.

PYRETHRUM - Bugs

Pyrethrum isa broad spectrum spray made from pulverized pyrethrum flowers (Chrysanthemumcinerariafolium). Pyrethrum kills bugs, but has low toxicity for animals and humans.Beware though that Pyrethrum also kills bees, so be sure to only use itin the evenings.

Take 1tablespoon of Pyrethrum powder or 2 tablespoons of flowers. Cover with oil and leave to steepovernight. Strain fully, then add 1litre of water and mix well. Useimmediately.

SEAWEED SPRAY -Powdery mildew, brown rot

Seaweedstrengthens a plants resistance to a range of infections as well as makes themresistant to frost. It can be also beused as a preventative measure against brown rot. Seaweed is also said to helpfruit set.

Seaweed solutionscan be commercially bought, but to make your own Seaweed spray:

Wash saltfrom seaweed and cover with fresh water for at least 3 weeks. Strain off as much water as required, thendilute it until it is the colour of very weak tea. Place in a spray bottle and use Exterminator whenrequired.

SNAIL SOUP -Repels snails and slugs

To repulsesnails and slugs, collect as many as you can, then place in a container andcover with water. Put a lid on thecontainer and put aside for 3 or 4 days, allowing the snails and slugs toferment. Strain, then spray where youdont want slugs and snails to invade.

TOOTHBRUSHES -Aphids, mites, thrips, bean fly

Although atoothbrush is not a recipe as such, it is an effective tool to use to scrapeand brush off small bugs such as aphids, bean fly, mites and thrips from theleaves and stems.

URINE- Apple and pear scab, mildew

Human urineis sterile (unless the donor has a urinary tract infection) although it doesnot remain sterile when stored, therefore, must be used as fresh as possible.

Spray thefull strength urine on dormant trees, at least twice in winter. Use it diluted with ten parts water on summermildew problems.

Spray appleand pear trees for scab with diluted urine when of the blossom has fallen.

Human urineis said to be an excellent tonic for all citrus trees.

WASABI (Indonesian Fish Sauce) -Repels kangaroos, wallabies and possums

Make a sprayby using 6 parts water to 1 part Wasabi.Spray thickly, drenching the plant and/or area.

WHITE PEPPER -Aphids, bugs

SprinkleWhite Pepper (thickly) to repel bugs and aphids. Sprinkle again after rain or watering. You can also mix the pepper well with soapywater so it is able to stick.

Drive A Lot? Consider Buying Roadside Assistance

by: Charles Essmeier

It can be frustrating to have your car break down on the highway. Few people will stop to offer help to disabled drivers. You may not have a cell phone with you, so you'll have to walk to find help. And even if you do have a phone with you, how likely are you to know the number of a nearby towing service? All of these things combine to make a bad situation worse. A good solution, particularly if you spend a lot of time driving, is to pay for a roadside assistance plan.

A roadside assistance plan is a form of insurance. You pay for the service from a variety of sources; you might even buy it from your car insurance company. The annual fee that generally costs less than the cost of a single tow can be quite a bargain should you be unlucky enough to have a breakdown as the cost of towing a car even a short distance can easily amount to $100 or more. If you live in a rural area where services are not readily available, roadside assistance could save you several hundred dollars on just a single breakdown.

Here are a few sources you might consider for buying a roadside assistance plan:

Your car insurance company - Most provide basic towing services for a small annual fee added to the cost of your regular premium. Rates vary from company to company, but towing service can often be had for as little as $10 per year.

AAA - The American Automobile Association includes roadside assistance as part of their basic annual membership. The cost varies, but typically runs between $40 and $80 per year. The services they offer are not limited to towing; gasoline, repair of flat tires and even locksmith services are available should you lock yourself out of your car or run out of gas.

AARP - The American Association of Retired Persons offers a roadside assistance plan for members. The cost is similar to that of an AAA membership, and you must be at least 50 years of age to join.

If you spend enough time driving, you will eventually have a breakdown while on the road. It isn't just the province of defective auto lemons; it eventually happens to all cars. It would be nice if everyone could plan when and where to have a breakdown, but that just isn't possible. It is, however, possible to be prepared for those types of emergencies. A roadside assistance plan is an inexpensive way to make sure that you and your car can be towed to safety in case of a roadside emergency.
